Melissa Greer, LMFT
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
In Melissa's (you can call her Mel!) therapeutic work, she strives to create a safe, empathic, warm, non-judgmental, and genuine environment for all her clients. She takes a human-to-human approach that is authentic, real, and personable. She utilizes a self-compassion, trauma-focused, sex-positive, anti-racist, LGBTQIA + affirming, and systems perspective in her approach with each of her clients.
"As your therapist, I want you to know that I am here, not just as a professional, but as a fellow human being who understands the ups and downs that come with this shared experience called life. Your well-being is my priority, and I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your path to personal growth and healing."
Her therapeutic approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, combining elements of narrative therapy, internal family systems, emotional-focused therapy, and CBT. She is also trained in EMDR. Melissa is a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of Kansas. She is receiving supervision toward the completion of her clinical licensure. Melissa accepts cash pay, VA CCN, Blue Cross, and Tri-Care. Other insurance approval may be available on a case-by-case basis.
